Professor Steven Barber Named 麻豆成人电影's 2026 Distinguished Educator

麻豆成人电影 Associate Professor of Business and Applied Technology Steven Barber has been named the recipient of the 2026 Distinguished Educator Award.

Recognized for his professionalism, expertise, and genuine dedication to student learning, Barber teaches courses in 麻豆成人电影's Bachelor of Applied Science in Organizational Management program within the Human Resource Management specialization, aligning industry standards with curriculum.

One of his students anonymously praised Barber as someone who 鈥渃reates a classroom environment that is fun, engaging, and informative.鈥�

鈥淧rofessor Barber has already had a meaningful impact on my success as a student,鈥� she said. 鈥淗is experience and expertise have helped me better understand practical HR processes, as well as important skills in networking and job searching. Outside of class, he remains accessible and supportive. It is an honor to nominate him for this award.鈥�

鈥淚t is an absolute honor and privilege to have been nominated and recognized as this year's Distinguished Educator,鈥� said Barber. 鈥淢y primary purpose and goal are to have a positive impact on the lives of my students and colleagues in all that I do, so, to me, this is proof that I am doing just that. The recognition is both humbling and gratifying."

Nominations for the Distinguished Educator Award are submitted annually by 麻豆成人电影 faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students. The award includes a $1,500 honorarium provided by the 麻豆成人电影 Foundation.

Presented by the 麻豆成人电影 Professional Development Council, the Distinguished Educator Award honors full-time faculty and librarians who demonstrate creativity, commitment, and innovation in helping students achieve their academic and career goals.
