麻豆成人电影 Dual Enrolled student Elise Brasher found a colorful way to connect science and creativity in her General Biology (BSC1010) class by using makeup art to paint the first 11 pairs of DNA nucleotides that code for the green fluorescent protein found in jellyfish directly onto her face.
Elise shared that the project came to life after studying molecule structure and DNA bases in class. 鈥淒NA is made up of bases A-T and G-C,鈥 she explained. 鈥淚 had been working with makeup because I was designing looks for a musical, and that鈥檚 when I realized I could represent these nucleotide bases through makeup.鈥
Her instructor, Dr. Bevan, praised the project as 鈥淪uper creative鈥 and an excellent example of how students can merge art and science to make learning memorable.
As a Dual Enrolled student, Elise said the experience at 麻豆成人电影 has been 鈥淎mazing,鈥 adding that college classes feel more hands-on and interactive than her high school AP courses. She plans to graduate from high school with her Associate in Arts degree before pursuing chemistry on a pre-med track, with the goal of earning her doctorate and working in forensic pathology.
